Forgette - 2Getting all 11 councilors to agree was the hardest part of the process says Budget Chief Sheldon Forgette.

In the end, not everyone agreed, but he was pleased to see the majority on City Council pass the 2015 Operating Budget at last night’s (Monday) council meeting and says it was a tough process.

He says there were things that not everyone agreed on, but in the end 2.17% was approved by a 7-3 count.

Forgette says that number includes figures which cover last year’s deficit.

Forgette says the average home owner could see an increase in their monthly bills from about $5 to $20 depending on the value of their home.
