Peewee A Ice Boltz

The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Provincials begin this weekend, and a local team is taking part.

The Peewee A Ice Boltz girls hockey team have put together a successful season, and will start their tournament on Friday at 9:30am.

Head Coach Jayde Wolfe says it’s been a long season and credits the team for staying focused.

He says “it’s a tough time of year to stay motivated and stay focused after you’ve been on the ice for eight months and at the end of the season they’re thinking about other things with the snow melting, so we’re just trying to keep them going.”

The Ice Boltz are coming off an historic win by being the first team in North Bay in their age group to win a boys rep-division.
