conservation authorityBoth the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry have issued a flood outlook for the area. The release says with with rain, mild temperatures, the snow melting and high than normal water content   a Flood Outlook is in effect. The result could be higher, faster flowing water and some streams could exceed bank full conditions and there could be flooding in low lying areas.

The snow depth has been reduced by 10 centimetres in a week according to the conservation authority’s snow survey report. 

Residents are advised to monitor the latest conditions and municipalities are advised to monitor the water crossings around culverts and bridges.
