Police (north bay)No shortage of drug-related incidents in the area to report.

Three city men have been charged after separate incidents, one involving North Bay Police, the other OPP.

Provincial Police are also investigating a pharmacy break-in in Mattawa, that saw a large quantity of Percocet stolen. 

 

City police have charged two people after the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit observed a suspected drug transaction in a vehicle outside a downtown residence last Thursday evening.

When police approached a man, after he got out of the vehicle, the driver sped away.

The first man, a 48 year old, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Police say an arrest involving the second man was made yesterday (Monday).

The 44 year old is charged with trafficking crack cocaine.

 

OPPMeantime, OPP have charged a North Bay man after a RIDE stop on Lake Nosbonsing Road, in East Ferris Township, just after 3am on Sunday.

Over 750 grams of marijuana along with ecstasy and money was seized.

The 24 year old has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

 

And Mattawa OPP are investigating after a pharmacy on Main Street in the town was broken into around 9:30 pm Sunday.

Entry was gained to the building, with a large amount of Percocet stolen.
