The North Bay Battalion and the Oshawa Generals resume the Eastern Conference Championship series tonight (Friday) in Oshawa.

The best of 7 set is tied at 2 wins apiece. Each team split the games on the road.

Head Coach Stan Butler says for his team the focus has to be on the ice not what’s going on in the seats.

He says they have to play well, pointing out they’re at the stage where the season could be over in the next few days if they don’t.

The Generals have scored 3 powerplay goals in the last 2 games.

Butler says they have to be better in front of the net and block shots because goalie Jake Smith may not see the puck all the time with big bodies in front.

North Bay has just one powerplay goal in the series, although it did come in the last game and Butler says they haven’t exactly had a lot of chances, but gives Oshawa credit with some aggressive penalty killing.

Other than game one, where North Bay outscored Oshawa 6-1, the other 3 games have just seen 9 goals with the Generals getting five.

Broadcast time for game five tonight on Country 600 CKAT is 7:05 pm.
