credit-cards More tips for seniors are coming from the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Last week, volunteer Ormond Carnegie of the Senior Buster program spoke to local seniors about mass marketing fraud and he will be returning later this month to talk about identity theft.

His list of tips includes safeguard your documents and shred them if you are throwing them out because if you don’t anyone can go through your garbage and find out all kinds of things like credit card and banking information.

He says for more information check out their web site at www.antifraudcentre.ca

Carnegie’s presentation on identity theft will take place on May 19th.  The cost for the presentation is $3 and tickets are available at the North Bay Public Library’s adult desk.
