Honouring a community leader as Kiwanis Citizen of the Year

A chance for the community to say thanks to the late John Richardson tonight (Thursday).

He is this year honoree for the Kiwanis Citizen of the Year evening at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park.

President Tim Hutchison says Richardson always refused to be honoured, but it is important they say thanks to him for the contributions he made to North Bay and surrounding area.

Hutchison says Richardson was a founding member of the downtown North Bay rejuvenation projects and was one of those who spearheaded the development of the ski hill.

He says this should be a fun night with many of Richardson’s friends speaking about all the wonderful things Richardson did for North Bay and area.

This is the 30th Citizen of the Year event.
