A Major Anniversary in Ontario

Astorville is celebrating their 130th anniversary and 400 years of Francophone presence in Ontario.  And to that end MP Jay Aspin announced nearly 23-thousand dollars for one project involved with the celebration.

Les Compagnons will gather and preserve Francophone heritage and deliver it through social media, to community groups, schools and libraries.

Last week, Aspin delivered a statement in the House of Commons encouraging all Canadians to visit the local celebration this fall.
