More remains located, police believe they are human remains

North Bay Police have located additional remains and believe they are human remains, after a search of a marsh area on Highway 11 South, north of the Lakeshore Drive turnoff.

The remains have been sent to the Centre of Forensic Science for analysis and confirmation.

Police also say “Based on the evidence collected to date, the North Bay Police Service does not believe the remains belong to any local missing persons, including Luke Joly-Durocher or Robert Aho.”

Luke Joly-Durocher was last seen in March 2011 while Robert Aho has been missing since October 2009.

Police say the search of the marsh area has wrapped up.

The investigation is ongoing and police say they, “continue to liaise with other police services in an attempt to resolve this case.”
