DogExpect to see plenty of wagging tails in Downtown North Bay on July 30th.

That’s when the 3rd annual Dog Parade is taking place, during Downtown North Bay’s Moonlight Madness event.

Executive Director Jeff Serran says the free event is gaining in popularity with more and more people and their pets are taking part each year. He also says the dog parade helps to show that Downtown North Bay is a dog-friendly area for responsible owners.

Contact the Downtown North Bay office, or drop by, to pre-register. There’s also a couple of draws for a free microchip from the North Bay and District Humane Society and a free pet grooming from Pawsh Pet Salon and Boutique.

Meantime, Serran says they’re still looking for volunteers for their Civic Long Weekend Free-4-All. “We cannot do our events without volunteers, high school students can get their hours towards graduation, we can sign off on those and we have a variety of positions.” Again, he says contact the office to get involved.
