City-hall1There will be a couple of reports dealing with North Bay Fire and Emergency Services at tonight’s (Monday) Council Meeting.

Mayor Al McDonald says one includes the hiring of a Fire Training Officer.

He says, “one thing that we need to do is make sure our people are trained in the complexity of dealing with fire.”

The other report is an update on the Master Fire Plan.

In total there are 12 reports coming forward on the Council agenda – but most of those are day to day housekeeping items, says McDonald.

There is one public presentation scheduled, involving the sewer and water main connection charge by-law.

Meantime, there are five In-Camera reports, with two involving the proposed acquisition of lands by the municipality.

During the committee meeting, there is one report on the source water protection implementation.
