Source Water Protection and waterfront land use on the council agenda

Some Councillors will sit in on three different City Hall meetings today.

The first meeting will take place at 4pm with the Long-Term Financial Plan Review Committee going into detail on Capital Planning.

At the end of the last meeting they had some questions regarding reserves policy and are also hoping to hear back from staff with those answers.

At 6 pm, the committee meeting of council will see a report on the Source Water Protection Plan – one that was amended two weeks ago to have a protection plan for the Energy East Pipeline Proposal.

On the Full Council agenda the big report looks at the downtown waterfront land use and urban design plan.

Mayor Al McDonald says this is a plan they have been looking at for about a year in the hopes of making the waterfront sustainable.

There are also three in camera reports and one scheduled public presentation with the focus on the North Bay and Area Community Hospice.
