Gathering PlaceA couple of water main issues to report in the city.

First, a water main break has officials from The Gathering Place Soup Kitchen advising they can’t open the dining room today.

However they will be providing a bagged lunch between 11:30 and 1:15 pm.

Officials say they have no washroom availability or coffee because of the leak.

Meantime, city public works advising crews will be repairing a water service leak on the 200 block of Chippewa St West today.

Officials say as a result, Chippewa between Cassells and Fraser will be closed in both directions.

The estimated time of repair and the road closure is about six to eight hours.
