A North Bay man is facing domestic assault charges. North Bay Police Services Corporate Communications Coordinator Marie Lugli has the details.

A 37 year old North Bay man was arrested early this morning (Thursday) by city Police.

It is alleged shortly after midnight the accused physically assaulted his female partner following an argument that took place inside their residence.

Police says the victim was able to remove herself from the situation unharmed and called police.

He is charged with one count of assault, and in order to protect the identity of the victim, police will not be releasing the name of the accused.
