“An Important New Service is Coming to the Jack Garland Airport”

Those words in a media advisory from the city detailing an announcement being made tomorrow at the airport.

The advisory says it’s all about growth at the airport.

The city has been promoting the Airport Industrial Business Park and all that it has to offer, while also actively seeking a second air carrier after making $2.2-million in renovations to the terminal building.

Changes were made in the entrance and main lobby area, the expanded holdroom (pictured below) can accommodate over 150 passengers and allows for two airlines to board flights at the same time with the addition of a second gate.

Two fully accessible washrooms were added along with additional space for vending services.

Meantime, there’s additional airline office space and passenger check in counters too.
