Petition set up for restocking efforts on Lake Nipissing

There is a petition online regarding the restocking efforts of Lake Nipissing.

Scott Nelson is the President of the Lake Nipissing Stakeholders Association, and he says they have been restocking 2-million fry in the lake every year.

However, he says they need to expand that number – but they’ve caught a snag.

 Nelson says there is a new restriction on egg hatcheries enforced by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

Nelson says the petition online was started to hopefully set up a meeting with the MNR in the fall.
