Volleyball funding announced

The province is helping out local volleyball with a large investment. The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation is giving Vision Volleyball $100-thousand dollars to continue work on their new beach courts complex on Oak Street. This will help with the construction of five courts, bleachers, lighting and change rooms. As well, an additional $15-thousand dollars will be given to help with the cost of the upcoming NORCECA International Beach Volleyball tournament.

This runs August 7th to 9th and will feature many of the athletes who just competed in the Pan Am Games.
