police student surveyNorth Bay Police want to hear from you. They’ve hired two students to do some polling on city police concerns. Deputy Chief Shawn Devine says they will be based in the lobby and ask a few brief questions after people have wrapped up their police business, Devine says they want to know whether people want to report crime on line for some things like bicycle thefts rather than coming into headquarters.Devine says they are not a police force anymore..

Devine says they are a police service which means they need input from the public on what its members think on how police are doing their job.

The students are Neve Belanger of West Ferris Intermediate and Brooklyn Ladouceur from St Joseph-Scollard Hall.

They are enrolled in the North Bay Police Youth in Policing Initiative.
