Police (north bay)A 28 year old North Bay man is facing several charges following a report of a suspected domestic dispute. Police say between July 11th and 31st on seperate occasions a male choked, threatened and physically and sexually assaulted the victim. Police say the charges include two counts of uttering threats, three counts of assault, assault with a weapon, sexual assault with a weapon, break, enter and commit, sexual assault, mischief and theft. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

Police say if you are a victim of domestic violence and need immediate help call 911.

Also, a North Bay male is facing a domestic related assault count. Police say they responded to a report of a domestic assault and after an investigation charged a 21 year old with assault.  Police say a verbal dispute turned violent. Police are not releasing the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victim.

And it was a busy weekend for North Bay Police with 369 calls for service.  17 people were arrested for several offenses including domestic assault, uttering threats, assault, assault with a weapon, sexual assault with a weapon, break, enter and commit, sexual assault, mischief, public intoxication and breach.
