Summer in the Park - SpotlightA little rain didn’t stop the momentum of Summer in the Park. The event wrapped up this past weekend and so far the reaction has been positive. While it did rain for Friday’s concert, Johnny Reid and Michelle Wright did eventually come out to perform for the soaked audience. Burton Cummings performed on Saturday for over 2 hours for an energetic crowd.John Strang, the chair of Summer in the Park, says he was very happy with the amount of people coming to the show.

He says they won’t know the official number until next week, but knows it was a success.

That’s because last year they sold 3,300 total wristbands, while this year they sold 5,300, 2 weeks prior to the show.

When asked what they are taking away from this year, Strang says they liked the pricing structure for the wristbands and are going to look into continuing that next year.
