Blue Box Food Drive moving to the fall

The time of year when the North Bay Food Bank holds its Blue Box Food Drive is changing.

It’s usually held in the spring but Food Bank Manager Amber Livingstone says it has been moved to the fall and this year it will take place on September 19th.

Livingstone says they need to replenish their food at this time of the year. She says in general they need items like canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta sauce, spaghetti and canned meats.

Livingstone says it’s important to consider the food bank all year long and not just before the Christmas season.
