VoodoosPlayers who hope to make the Powassan Voodoos this season will hit the ice Thursday  as the teams training camp gets underway.  General Manager Chris Dawson says a lot has changed in a year after a successful playoff run to end last season.  He says a lot of people are saying the Voodoos are a potential powerhouse thanks to the support they’ve received from the OHL Battalion Dawson says they have a lot of returning players including the mvp of the NOJHL last season Steven Harland. . He says the camp promises to be competitive especially up front with returning veterans  and newcomers trying to make the roster.

Dawson says they are getting ready for the season at the Pete Polangio Arena as the ice in Powassan isn’t in yet.

The team will have atleast one pre season game but it hasn’t been scheduled yet. 

The season opener is in Noelville against French River on September 11th with the home opener three nights later on September 14th against Elliot Lake.

The team will play 54 games this year- that’s 27 at home and 27 on the road.
