Tourism is changing

There are less people using the North Bay and Chamber of Commerce to access their tourist information. President Jake Lacourse says they have had only 13,000 people come through the door, and he attributes that to the availability of information through electronic devices. He says it’s one of the reasons they are moving from Seymour Street to downtown as reported earlier. But Lacourse adds it doesn’t mean the Chamber is leaving the tourism game.

He says they have spearheaded an initiative to create the website Tourism North Bay dot-com.

He says they are in the process of building that product and are looking to add more partners.

As well, he says they release the “things to see and do guide” which is a PDF. file or can be printed out.
