applebyNorth Bay’s very own Ken Appleby was back in town today as he was able to bring the Memorial Cup along with him. Appleby said he’s thrilled to be back and that it’s an honour to be able to celebrate the trophy with the city. Many people were in attendance for a chance to take a photograph with Appleby and the Memorial Cup. Appleby grew up playing hockey here in the Bay and will have a chance to play in the big leagues in the near future as he was invited to the New Jersey Devils main camp coming up in September. “It means a lot”, said Appleby who was thankful to be invited to the Devils camp. “It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m very lucky for them to have invited me and given me the opportunity and I’m going to try and make the most of it”.
