Open house 1Members of the public were invited to an open house session at City Hall last night (Thursday).

Staff from every sector and committee were on hand to answer questions surround the budget process, community services, engineering issues and more.

There was also a display set up to show people exactly how much one cubic meter of water is.

Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette says the live display was an eye opener for a lot of people.

Forgette says people attending the open house got a better understanding of the new system.

He says people seem to be satisfied with the idea of paying for what they use.

Meantime, Transit Service was also brought up to Chair of Community Services Mark King. He says residents were letting him know of the changes other municipalities were making.

Chair of Engineering and Works Tanya Vrebosch says it was an insightful evening for those who took advantage.
