black bear The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority says a black bear and bear cubs were sighted yesterday at the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area at 15 Janey Avenue. They are advising residents who are hiking or biking in this area to be “bear wise.”

A sign has been posted at the trail head advising of the bear sighting.

If you see a bear please advise the Conservation Authority.
