OPPThe Ontario Provincial Police Fall Seat Belt Campaign is underway and police are reminding motorists that wearing a seat belt is the law and they plan on actively enforcing that law.

Police also say 42 people  that weren’t wearing a seat belt.have died this year on OPP patrolled roads in Ontario.

That’s eight more than the same time frame last year.

OPP say the recent stats are even more alarming.

From September 7th to 13th, six of the seven people killed in motor vehicle collisions in Ontario were not wearing a seat belt.
