Baylor studentsWe told you previously about a partnership between Baylor University and the city.

Basically, students at Baylor are going to research North Bay and identify priorities with the goal of fostering job creation.

30 students from the Texas university will be involved overall with the first four in North Bay on Thursday.

Kevin Mitchell says they will now start putting together a survey on North Bay and so they’ll be collecting plenty of data.

Sarah Hill says it’s a unique opportunity in this research project.

She says they do a lot of work with companies but being able to help shape a city’s economic priorities is a unique opportunity.

The findings will be revealed to city officials when the students to North Bay in late November.

After that, phase 2 of the partnership will see 25 Baylor students look at the key strategies the city should pursue.
