Building permits remain strong in North Bay

The city’s building permit numbers have outpaced the $55-million estimate for 2016 and there’s still 3 months to go.

Mayor Al McDonald says their permit numbers remain strong.

The city has a total construction value of $59.38-million so far this year.

In terms of the breakdown by sector, there’s $23.7-million for the commercial sector, $20.7-million for residential, $9.8-million for industrial, another $4.6-million for institutional and over $500,000 in miscellaneous projects.

Single family dwellings are up to 27 units.
