Appleby signs with Devils and Lakers undefeated in men's soccer

North Bay’s Ken Appleby has reportedly signed an NHL entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils.

The Complete Hockey News says he’s expected to start the season with the Adirondack Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League.

Appleby was at Devils camp on an amateur tryout contract.

And in OUA men’s soccer, the Nipissing Lakers played RMC a scoreless draw on Sunday.

The Lakers are undefeated on the season with 2 wins and four ties.

They’re fifth in the OUA East Standings.
