Health Unit logo If you intended to get your flu shot on or before October 25th – your appointment may have been postponed.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit says there is a delay in the delivery of flu vaccine from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Program Manager of Vaccine Preventable Diseases Andrea McLellan says this is because of a delay with the delivery of flu vaccine from the Federal level to the Province and then down to the local health clinics.

Although, Doctors have received flu vaccine for patients at high risk for complications from the flu. Those include children under the age of five and seniors 65 and older.

As well as anyone with a health condition, pregnant women, Aboriginal Peoples, and health care workers.
