election signsRecently we conducted a series of informal election polls and the results are in.

111 votes were cast in our unscientific poll asking which local candidate people were planning on supporting.

Anthony Rota received 56 percent of the vote. Jay Aspin was next at 30 percent. Kathleen Jodouin received 7 percent, the undecided vote was at 5 and Nicole Peltier received 3 percent.

When it comes to election issues, there’s a clear winner in our unscientific survey.

Over 26 percent of respondents said the Economy is the biggest issue.

Healthcare was next at just under 15 percent followed by seniors care at just under 13 percent and job creation at about 12 percent.

213 votes were cast.

Meantime, 86 votes were cast in the survey asking if the proposed Energy East Pipeline will have an impact on your vote.

Just under 55 percent said no while 34 percent said re-align the pipeline to protect their water, 8 percent said don’t allow the pipeline to be converted at all and 3 percent said give TransCanada the go ahead to convert the pipeline however it wants.
