The North Bay Battalion have a new franchise leader in wins by a goaltender; it’s Jake Smith (pictured) who secured his 65th OHL victory in a 4-3 win over Niagara on Sunday.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says he’s happy for Smith and says he serves as a great example of someone who has never given up.

The win also marked the third straight home game with a Hat-Trick, this time it was Captain Mike Amadio getting three goals,

Zach Bratina netted the other.  The line of Amadio, Bratina and Matt Santos combined for seven points on the night – four goals and three assists.

Butler says they are a very talented line combination.

The Battalion are back in action on Thursday as they take on the Windsor Spitfires at Memorial Gardens.
