Hotel and two restaurants proposed for Oak and Memorial site

This could be the beginning of the commercialization of North Bay’s Waterfront.

Paul Goodridge represents Goodridge Goulais Planning and Surveying Limited, and he says their proposal is to build two new restaurants and a 100 suite hotel on the vacant land off Memorial Drive and Oak Street.

He says they hope to get all the approval necessary and move forward with what he calls a good fit for the city and if it’s done right it will be a great benefit to the city.

Goodridge says they already have one occupant for one of the restaurants in mind; a Starbucks.

He says they are looking into applicants for the other restaurant which will be a 250 seat dining room – with a patio as well.

The Starbucks would include a drive through on the Oak Street side.
