Incident involving barricaded person in Eldee ends without incident

Highway 63 was closed for about one hour for public safety on Tuesday afternoon.

This after OPP say a man barricaded himself in a residence on Highway 63 in Eldee.

Several OPP units were involved in seeing a peaceful end to the incident including the OPP Emergency Response Team, Crisis negotiators, Crime Unit and Tactics and Rescue Unit.

Just after 5:30 pm the man surrendered to police and was taken into custody without incident.
