“Zach Bratina has retired from hockey.”

Those words today (Tuesday) from North Bay Battalion Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Butler.

In 12 games with the Troops this season, the forward from Lindsay, Ontario had 12 goals and 3 assists, with a plus/minus of +3.

Butler says Bratina recently saw a doctor in Toronto who says he was still showing signs related to post-concussion injuries.

He says this is a tough outcome for a very talented player.

In 150 OHL games Bratina scored 80 points with 37 goals. He appeared in 70 games for the Troops overall and put up 52 points
