Chamber of CommerceThe North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce is urging city council to keep its foot on the gas when it comes to capital projects and infrastructure spending.

It passed a resolution at Thursday night’s meeting, to counter some comments on council that spending should be rolled back.

President Jake Lacourse says the city needs to be ready when opportunity knocks.

He says this is what’s needed to make sure when growth happens, they have the assets in place to enable that to happen.

Lacourse says not spending now will give short term relief but when its time to go, North Bay will be a year behind.
