Four mental health initiatives benefiting from a local grant

Each year the funding from the Maria MacMillan Grant provides support to different initiatives at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

The Healthy Living Clinic, the Mental Health and The Law Program, The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit and the Light Up Purple North Bay initiative.

Those are the four programs which will be receiving portions of the $3,000 Maria MacMillian Grant.

This is from Floyd and Ruby MacMillian, who lost their daughter Maria in 2006 after a courageous battle with an eating disorder.

Her family and friends remember her as a loving woman and the endowment fund was created to symbolize that Maria’s life had meaning.
