Mark KingThe North Bay Taxpayers Association has made a big change as it enters its 4th year.

Mark King is no longer the president.

The city councillor stepped down as president earlier this week but will remain as past president on the board.

He says the group will have 9 directors and 6 will be on the executive and  that will determine their public profile.

King says there are very smart people on the organization who have excellent ideas on how municipal affairs should be handled.

He says they will take an active role in the budget process with the goal of a zero per cent tax increase

But King says it won’t be easy because of what has been done in the past because there have been several years of tax increases and it’s very difficult to find savings right now.
