dssabVarious communities across the country will be coordinating a count of homeless people next year, including locally.  

Employment and Social Development Canada, through the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board will be funding a “Point in Time” count.

It’ll be the same survey used at the same time to develop a snapshot of national homelessness.

Information can then be used as a benchmark to measure progress of programs designed to reduce homelessness.

DNSSAB is coordinating the count for the City of North Bay and is issuing a request for proposal to plan, conduct and coordinate the count of people experience sheltered and unsheltered homelessness.
