Lock it or Lose it

The holiday shopping season is here and North Bay Police are reminding people to “Lock it or Lose It”.  

The awareness campaign is an annual crime prevention program that encourages drivers and passengers to take precautions to protect their vehicles and contents from theft. 

City Police Corporate Communications Coordinator Marie Lugli says there’s another message too.  

She says when purchasing a lot of new items, especially for the holidays, remove valuables and those purchases from view, if leaving them in vehicles for any length of time.  

Overall, police say always lock your vehicles, no matter what time of year it is.
