police cruiser(File Photo) City police are investigating after a report of a stabbing and robbery Wednesday night at Ferris Lions Park on Massey Drive.

Police say just after 10 pm an 18-year old North Bay male was on the pathway leading from the Park to West Ferris when two unknown males jumped and stabbed him.  

Money was removed from the victim’s wallet, with the wallet then left at the scene.

The victim was injured and transported to hospital for treatment.

Police say one of the two suspects is described as a white male, 6’0 tall, wearing a dark coat, dark pants and a dark toque.

Impaired driver takes out 2 signs and goes airborne

Meantime, North Bay Police also report a 33 year old city man has been charged with impaired after an incident around 7:45 pm last night (Wednesday) on Pinewood Park Drive.

It’s alleged a vehicle travelling on Lakeshore Drive crossed the median separating the off-ramp and Pinewood Park Drive, destroyed two road signs, and became airborne for several metres.

It’s further alleged the vehicle then crossed Pinewood Park Drive, collided with another vehicle, and came to a stop in the ditch

No one was injured, but both vehicles were damaged.

 

Break and enter investigation

And city police are also investigating after a report of a break and enter between 4 am and 6:40 am today (Thursday)  at a local motel on Lakeshore Drive.

Police say a purse containing cash, ID and store loyalty cards, along with a cash register were reported stolen.
