The Battalion have scored 13 goals this weekend and they’ll look to add more to that total when the Flint Firebirds come to town today.

The Battalion picked up wins over Hamilton and Niagara and will meet the Firebirds for the first time this season. Catch the game on Country-600 CKAT at 6:35pm.

(Voodoos)
The Powassan Voodoos and the French River Rapids played 70 minutes of hockey and couldn’t find a winner as their game ended 3-3 after double overtime at the Noelville Arena in French River.

The Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey team pick up another win, defeating the Ryerson Rams 2-0 last night (Saturday) on the road. Zosia Davis and Kayla Carter scored for Nipissing. Jackie Rochefort picked up another shutout thanks to an outstanding 40-save effort. The Lakers went 2-0 on their Toronto trip.

The Lakers men’s hockey team lost 4-2 to the Laurentian Voyaguers. Brock Morrison and Joel Herbert scored for Nipissing on the road. Domenic Graham made 19 saves on 22 shots in the loss.

(OUA Volleyball)


The Nipissing Lakers women’s volleyball team picked up their first win of the year yesterday (Saturday) as they defeated the Brock Badgers in five sets. They trailed 1-0 and 2-1. The Lakers take on the York Lions this afternoon at 2 p.m.

In Men’s Volleyball the Lakers dropped yesterday’s match versus Guelph 3-1on the road. Cam Branch had 20 kills and Lyndon Sonego 12, while Warren Taylor addd seven. Nipissing is back at it today versus York.
