A couple of key appointments for MP Anthony Rota

The MP for Nipissing-Timiskaming has received a couple of appointments.

Anthony Rota has been named both Assistant Deputy Speaker and Assistant Deputy Chair of Committees of the Whole for the House of Commons.

He will work under the new speaker of the house Geoff Regan. 

He will be a presiding officer in the House of Commons Chamber.

Rota says, “I am honoured to be appointed to this position,”

He goes on to say, “I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House of Commons in a respectful and courteous manner.  The House of Commons is the centre of our democracy and I want to cultivate decorum, productivity and civility in the 42^nd session of Parliament.”
