Alison FungNorth Bay’s Alison Fung competed last night in the University of Guelph Winter Open track and field meet.

The 4th year Guelph Gryphon pole vaulter jumped a season best height of 3.60m to win the competition.

That height guarantees her a spot in the OUA championships in February at the University of Windsor.  This is because the height is well above the OUA standard of 3.10m.

Fung sat in 3rd place in the CIS rankings for most of last season but was able to finish in 8th place after being sidelined with an injury during the national championships.

Fung made the athletic honour roll and was recognized as a CIS Academic All Canadian for the 2015-2016 season.
