The Community Christmas Day Dinner is Almost Here

And the Community Christmas Day Dinner Committee has been hard at work preparing for the annual event at the Pro Cathedral on Christmas Day.

Spokesperson Annette Dutrisac says they are seeing more people every year.

She says when she first started they had about 200 people attend and now they are up to over 400.

Dutrisac says they have about 125 volunteers to help put on this event and they’ve been working on this years dinner since August.

The hours for this years event are 11 am to 130 pm.

Dutrisac says their goal is to ensure that no one goes hungry and no one is lonely on Christmas Day.

She says they get a lot of support for community businesses so they can provide a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings including the Gathering Place, the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park and the Best Western.

Dutrisac says there’s also music and a take home goodie bag as well.
