North Bay PoliceCity Police had a busy weekend with 209 calls for service from New Year’s Eve until this morning.

Six people were charged for several offenses including public intoxication, domestic assault, mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars, uttering threats, impaired driving, fail to remain, possession of marijuana, assault and breach of probation

13 people- 12 men and 1 woman were charged. The charges included assault, assault with a weapon, sexual assault, uttering threats, break and enter, theft and mischief.

Also, North Bay Police are reporting a 43 year old Bonfield male has been charged with several offenses following a domestic dispute outside a local hotel on Deleware Avenue.

The man, who has not been identified to protect the identity of the victim, has been charged with domestic assault, mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars, uttering threats, impaired driving, possession of Marijuana under 30 Grams and failing to remain.

Police say an argument between a man and his female common law partner turned violent when the woman was assaulted on New Year’s Day at a hotel room they were in.

The woman left the room, screamed and ran to the lobby.

Police say the male damaged property in the hotel, threatened an employee and fled in a vehicle.

Police say two parked vehicle and a telephone pole were hit before the vehicle crashed into a snow bank. Police say Marijuana was tossed out of the car window before they arrived.

The victim sustained minor injuries.
