Powassan Voodoos_210The holiday break is over for the Powassan Voodoos, who won their first game of 2016 Monday night on home ice.

Michael Silveri scored twice, including the go-ahead goal with 31 seconds left in the game, as the Voodoos defeated Rayside-Balfour 3-1 at the Powassan Sportsplex.

Silveri also scored into the empty net with two seconds remaining in the game.

Tyler Peters scored the other goal for Powassan while Garrett Forrest made 23 saves for the win.

The Voodoos are back in action tomorrow night (Wednesday) in Espanola.
