Google Maps North Korea(Photo courtesy of Google Maps) The west is talking about additional sanctions against North Korea.

This after a claimed nuclear test by the North Koreans on Wednesday.

Most experts don’t believe the claim including retired Nipissing University History professor Dr Steve Muhlberger.

He says it’s quite complicated to make a Hydrogen bomb as the North Koreans said they did and the earthquake generated isn’t as strong as a Hydrogen Bomb would create.

If that’s the case, Muhlberger was asked what’s the point of North Korea’s message.

He says having a nuclear capability shows the world North Korea is too dangerous to be attacked and in the country it shows they are in the big time.

Meantime, Muhlberger says sanctions really don’t work against the North Korean government, because this is a government that has put millions of people into slave labour camps and starved them to death.

He says it is one of the most vile regimes in the world.
