PantherLogoYesterday had plenty of action from the Canadore Panthers.

Last night saw the volleyball teams victorious but also saw the loss dealt to the men’s basketball team.

On the woman’s side, Katie Maeck scored 20 points to help bring the team their 3-1 win against Algonquin. The final scored for each set were 18-25 in the first, 25-20 in the second, 25-22 in the third, and 25-20 in the fourth. Caitlin Hebert made 14 points in the win.

Meantime the men’s team also had a 3-1 victory against Algonquin with their individual set scores looking like this; 25-18, 23-25, 25-19, and 26-24.

Shawn Hoffmann led the team with 26 points followed closely by James Heslinga with 17.

Next up for both teams is Toronto’s Seneca College at the Education Centre Gym next Saturday. The women’s team play at 1pm while the men play at 3pm.

And now to basketball where LaCite defeated the Panthers, 92-71.

Tarez Hepburn scored the most for Canadore with 23 points, followed by Isse Ibrahim with 18.

The team looks to bounce back on Saturday with a 6pm game against George Brown in the Education Centre Gym.
